Glenn Tipton Baptizm of Fire

Glenn Tipton’s first solo album, created during a crucial mid-90s period outside Judas Priest. Its remarkable cast makes it especially interesting: Billy Sheehan and Cozy Powell play on the instrumental title track, while The Who’s John Entwistle contributes eight-string bass to “The Healer.” Robert Trujillo, Neil Murray and Don Airey also appear. Tipton also tackles the Rolling Stones’ “Paint It Black.” The Japanese edition adds “Himalaya,” a 7-plus-minute bonus track featuring Cozy Powell and Neil Murray—a major attraction for Priest and related-musician collectors.
